How Much Do You Really Save on Refurbished Laptops?

A prospective client recently asked us to give them a comparison of new and Unboxxed refurbished laptop prices. We pulled together an updated comparison. Check out the results - we think they are pretty interesting. More information on how we structured the comparison is given after the images. 

We chose to do the comparison on the 3 major laptop brands that we stock: Dell, Lenovo, and HP. We chose models for which we stock refurbished devices spanning multiple years. For example we chose the Dell Latitude 54xx series because we stock refurbished devices that were released in each of the following years: 2019, 2018, and 2017.  

We compared the price of our certified refurbished devices to the price of buying a new laptop in the same series, and with the same specifications. Going back to the Dell example; we visited the Dell South Africa website, found the latest device in the series that is currently available (with the same specifications), and selected the price of this device as the "new" comparison price.
